Ms. Cheryl Quinn
Cheryl has been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist since 2005, following her graduation from the University of Adelaide
with a Master of Clinical Psychology. Prior to commencing her studies in psychology she worked in a number of areas,
including for the Commonwealth Government, an aged care company and in research work for UniSA and the University of
Adelaide. Cheryl has been working in private practice since 2007, initially in Gawler, Modbury and now in Holden
Hill. She works with adults across the lifespan and has experience in dealing with a wide variety of clinical presentations.

Dr. Mariana Scriva Cuadros
Mariana graduated in 2005 with a Master of Science/Doctor of Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. While completing her postgraduate studies, she worked as a TAFE student counsellor across two locations, inlcuding one that singularly offered a specialised HSC programme in an adult learning environment. After graduation, she spent her time in NSW working in two different multidisciplinary community health services; a drug and alcohol service for adolescents and adults; and an adolescent mental health service that dealt with a broad variety and severity of clinical presentations. She delivered individual and group therapy in these settings in addition to providing school-based services. In 2008, Mariana returned to SA and has found her niche in private practice. Over the last several years, she has worked in the northern, southern and CBD regions of Adelaide with adolescents and adults.

Bec completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology at Flinders University in 2010. While completing her studies she worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor and in research, managing a neuroscience laboratory. After graduating from university, she worked with families to support children in need. In 2012 she moved to London where she worked in hospitals supporting people who had been diagnosed with cancer. Since returning to Adelaide in 2014 she has worked in private practice to assist adults with a diverse range of concerns and continues to support people who have a cancer diagnosis. Bec has a particular interest in Compassion Focused Therapy which helps clients to develop the qualities of self-compassion and can be beneficial for people who have a tendency toward perfectionism and self-criticism. In her downtime Bec loves sewing, crochet and gardening.

Dr. Jessica Cipolla
Jessica completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Flinders University. She has a broad interest in a variety of clinical presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, grief, ASD, self-confidence, and behavioural interventions for a multitude of different presentations.
Jessica has an eclectic and strong client-centred approach. She firmly believes that you are the expert in your own life and that the therapy process will only work with positive client/therapist rapport and strong collaboration. Jessica is originally from Canada and is now a dual citizen.

Dr. Tomoko Nishizawa
Tomoko completed her PhD (Clinical Psychology) at Flinders University in 2015. After graduating, she had a short stint in child protection work. She then relocated to Mt Gambier for 6 months and worked for the Adult Mental Health Services (Community and Inpatient). Since returning to Adelaide, she has held various roles both within government organisations (Adult Mental Health Services in community and inpatient) and in the private sector. She is experienced in seeing a wide range of mental health presentations in adult populations, offering individual and group therapies (e.g., Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills Training Groups). From 2021, Tomoko took time off work for two and a half years and relocated to the UK with her family.
Prior to the extended leave, she held leadership roles within the Adult Mental Health Services. Amongst other things, the roles involved supervisions of other psychologists, as well as shaping treatment model for people with Borderline Personality Disorder. Tomoko has been a board approved supervisor since 2018 and through her work with SA Health Adult Mental Health Services, she has been providing supervision to clinicians at various career stages (postgraduate psychology placement students, 4+2 interns, clinical psychology registrars, clinical psychologists and senior clinical psychologists). Tomoko has also previously provided supervision specific to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to organisations such as HeadSpace and Murray River Mental Health Team (SA Health).
Tomoko has particular interests in assisting people with emotion regulation difficulties and lifelong difficulties stemming from trauma. In her sessions, Tomoko attempts to work collaboratively with her clients, adjusting her therapy approach depending on individuals’ needs.

Lauren worked with us until mid 2022 and was a valuable addition to our practice, working with people with mood and anxiety disorders using a range of therapies.

Justin graduated within a Master of Health Psychology from the University of Adelaide in 2016. Justin worked with us at mindwise from early 2018 up until February 2022 and developed a strong reputation across his areas of interest including the treatment of anxiety, depression and trauma, but particularly in the treatment of chronic pain and chronic health conditions. He has since left to undertake other projects and is currently not practicing as a psychologist. We wish him all the best in his new venture!
